Experience English Reed's Summer School, Cobham
Reed's School, Cobham, is a traditional English boarding school located only forty minutes by train from London’s vibrant city centre. This rural Surrey school is one of our most popular summer language centres, offering a fantastic range of sports facilities including many tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool and Astroturf pitches. This is the perfect base for our Young Learners Sports programme.
Age range 9 -16
Experience life in a typical English boarding school, living in shared rooms located on the secure and safe campus of Reed's School in rural Surrey. With large and scenic outdoor spaces as well as outstanding sports facilities, Reed's School is the perfect place to learn English and meet new friends.
Young Learners Experience is for you if you want to improve your general English and want to have some fun doing activities with new friends. You can have any level of English and you have to like to have a mix of activities, sports and sightseeing during your stay.
What can you expect? 15 hours tuition per week with a maximum 15 students per class in multilingual classes. One full day excursion per week and one half day excursion per week. Activities and sport programme. Evening activities seven nights per week (up to three nights if you stay in homestay accommodation – depending on centre)
Our Experience English Young Learner Programme provides a full daily schedule for all students, encouraging you to speak English throughout the day. You will take English lessons for 15 hours a week (or 21 if you choose our intensive Experience programme). Each lesson hour is the full 60 minutes.
The rest of the time, you will enjoy visits to local towns and attractions, sports, arts and crafts at the centre. After dinner, you can join a variety of evening activities. Although most students arrive on the standard arrival day, our programmes are designed to allow you join the course at any stage of the week to suit your needs (please note that some conditions apply).

Young Learners Sports Options
With access to outstanding sports facilities both on-site and nearby, Reed’s School, Cobham is an ideal location for 9-16 year olds to develop their skills in a safe and supervised environment. The Young Learners Sports Programme offers the opportunity to benefit from specialist coaching in either tennis or horse riding as part of the full English language course, including sight-seeing, excursions and evening activities.
English Plus: Tennis
On the English Plus Tennis programme, young learners will be coached by fully-qualified Lawn Tennis Association licensed coaches. Sessions will focus on the key aspects of the game including stroke play, serving, the volley, lob and spin techniques. You will also get an added bonus of a visit to the Wimbledon Tennis Club Museum.

English Plus: Horse Riding
Join the specialist English Plus Horse Riding programme if you want to develop both your riding and stable management skills. Suitable for all levels, our friendly staff will build your confidence whilst helping you to improve your riding technique. The emphasis is on all aspects of horse management and you are encouraged to be as active as possible, from collecting horses from fields in the morning to hacking up, feeding and grooming.
